Abstract

In this talk I will present our software package “RiFLEX” that could easily be called “Robotics Made Easy for Everyone”.
RiFLEX is made by a Wallenberg-funded spin-off from Aalborg University in Denmark and from the University of Lund.

RiFLEX Runtime - the intuitive robot operating interface for manufacturers - has recently been released. Its goal is to give SMEs with little or no robotics experience access to manufacturing robotics while saving the costs for integration and programming. Ideally, it should take no more than 15 min to get started with robot programming.

RiFLEX is making robotics 1. simple to connect, 2. simple to configure and 3. simple to run. Presently, it offers functions for tasks such as pick and place, machine tending and palletizing. RiFLEX allows to use almost any robot and device from the same user-friendly interface and it even allows to let multiple robots work jointly on a task.

In this talk, I will show live what the software can do, how the Robot is set up with the software, and how the programming is done. Then, I will give an overview about what is happening under the hood.
